Background

In some circumstances, you may want to change the IP address of the issuer ITSP endpoint integrated with Entrust for the tokenisation lifecycle.

In this article, we cover endpoint IP address changes rather than endpoint address or port changes.

For endpoint address changes, a change request is required.

What is needed before that?

Create a ticket and share us your plan:

  • New IP Address and the environment
  • Old IP Address
  • Let us know if you want to keep the old IP address effective at the same time
  • Switch over day and time
  • For non-standard TLS port (anything other than 443), you should notify Entrust at least 7-day before the actual changes on your side, so that we can be sure everything goes smoothly without affecting the tokenisation service

Why do I need to notify Entrust?

Although we connect to your endpoint using the address, for non-standard ports we need to make changes to our firewall and security system to allow traffic to pass through to a new IP address.

This will take some time to take effect.
